The Chamber of Industry of Damascus and its countryside, in cooperation with the Damascus and Syrian Governorates for Trade, honored today more than 150 families of martyrs and war wounded by offering vouchers during the activities of the 132nd edition of the monthly shopping festival “Made in Syria” held in Al-Jalaa Sports City.
Secretary of the Damascus Chamber of Industry, Muhammad Akram Al-Hallaq, indicated that honoring the families of the martyrs and the wounded comes within the social role that the Chamber seeks to crystallize in addition to its commercial and economic role, indicating that the honor is not comparable to the sacrifices made by the martyrs and wounded for the steadfastness and victory of Syria and the survival of the production wheel and the continuity of factories based on home space.
In turn, a member of the Executive Office of the Damascus Governorate, Lawyer Faisal Sorour stated that the governorate is keen during all festival sessions to honor the largest possible number of families of the martyrs and the war-wounded, pointing out that the participation of the Syrian Trade in providing support will have an impact on increasing the number of honored families.
Talal Qala Ji, a member of the Chamber and head of the festival's organizing committee, explained that the honoring will continue until the end of the festival on the seventh of this month, pointing out that the current version of the festival seeks to market citrus products to farmers in order to support them and continue their production.
