Opinion | Look Surprised: Abtissam Maraana Found Who's Guilty of Cost of Living | Israel today

I thought there was no connection between the money promised to Abbas and the rise in prices. Two days ago, the "Religious Zionism" party released a video that clearly shows how Prime Minister Naftali Bennett did not keep his promises on the eve of the election, this time not in political and security matters but in economic matters. Two days ago, the "Religious Zionism" party released a video that clearly shows how Prime Minister Naftali Bennett did not keep his promises on the eve of the election, this time not in political and security matters but in economic matters.

The background, of course, is the wave of price increases of recent weeks that is expected to affect every home in Israel.

In the video, Bennett presents his "Singapore plan" that he pledged to make as a condition of any government he enters, in which he promises a drastic reduction in taxes, a reduction in government spending, cuts in unnecessary government offices, and generally a significant increase in money left in every Israeli's pocket.

In the video, Bennett's promises are confronted with the reality that there is an increase in taxes, an increase in prices and unnecessary offices.

On the face of it the video is quite successful and conveys the message sharply.

But in the end, religious Zionists could not resist putting the 53 billion shekels promised by the Bennett government into the Arab sector for the support of MK Mansour Abbas and his party members in the government. The connection feels quite populist and forced.

But today I realized I was wrong.

MK Abtissam Maraana was interviewed on 103FM radio by Erel Segal, where she revealed what is really causing the price increase in Israel.

"The cost of living is the result of insane amounts of resources and manpower and money going to build settlements," the coalition member exclaimed, and in one moment made me realize that the "Religious Zionism" campaign is right.

For years, leftists have been telling us that all the money of the State of Israel is in the settlements.

Maraana is of course not the first.

We all remember the statement of Yair Lapid, Bennett's senior partner and who will replace him in the prime minister's chair in a year and a half, about the money of all of us who are "somewhere between Yitzhar and Itamar."

And where are the facts?

Let's say that it's enough to travel on the roads in Judea and Samaria to understand that too much money is not there.

So what does Bennett's coalition member do when it's rightly asked about the cost of living and the distress that all Israelis now feel in their pockets?

Directs the fire to the place it is used to directing.

To the settlers.

And this is exactly the greatness of the left.

He always knows there are buyers for his demagoguery.

So I come back to me.

The sequel to the "Religious Zionism" video is accurate.

It is worthwhile for every Japanese Israeli citizen - the thousands of shekels you are going to pay in the coming year are for the financing of the 53 billion shekels promised to Mansour Abbas of Naftali Bennett to support his government.

Because if it is legitimate to claim that he lied to us because of the settlers, then it is all the more true to claim that he lied to us because of the money promised to the Arabs.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
