US President Joe Biden has described Moscow's recognition of the so-called Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics and the planned deployment of Russian troops in the eastern Ukrainian regions as "the beginning of an invasion" of Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin provides "justification for the violent capture of other areas," Biden said in a speech at the White House in Washington on Tuesday.
