Three months before the merriment in Meron, the results of the tender were announced to the bodies that will produce the huge event, for the first time since the disaster.
In preparation for the celebration, the National Center for Holy Places published the tender, which was determined by order of the Minister of Religions Matan Kahana according to professional criteria only - experience of continuous support for mass events, up to 100,000 participants, and complex productions.
The closed tender was distributed to the 28 largest production companies in the economy recognized by the Knesset, of which four companies approached, two of which were also partners in the production last year, but they were not investigated and are not expected to be investigated regarding the disaster and have no connection to the incident.
After examining the nominations, the auditor of the Center for Holy Places, in the presence of the professional bodies in the Ministry of Religions and the staff of Maron, determined that the Azrieli company and another company received the highest score.
After comparing the two bids, the Azrieli company won.
The company's involvement in the celebration last year, it should be noted, is solely in the production of the giant screens at the event.
