The Lebanese Hezbollah responded to recent Israeli raids in Lebanon and Syria by firing rockets at the Israeli military base on Mount Merom (Arab Jarmaq) in the Upper Galilee, already targeted in recent days with more than 60 rockets fired by Lebanese fighters.
The aerial surveillance base of northern Israel is located on Mount Merom.
"We hit the air control base on Mount Jarmaq for the second time in response to recent targeted killings in Lebanon and Syria and repeated attacks against civilians and homes in southern Lebanon," Hezbollah said in a statement.
At least 12 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon by Hezbollah towards the military air base on Mount Meron in the Galilee.
This was reported by Israeli public radio Kan, according to which at least four were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense systems, while still others exploded in open areas in its vicinity.
What is defined as ''a very massive attack'' occurred while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in northern Israel, in an unspecified location, where he today met representatives of the tens of thousands of inhabitants forced to flee from their homes near the border with Lebanon to due to the continuous bombings by Hezbollah.
