The US Treasury said in a statement that "as part of the United States' response to the Russian military operation against Ukraine, the department's Office of Foreign Assets Control has imposed sanctions on 24 Belarusian individuals and entities for supporting and facilitating Russian interference in Ukraine," adding that "focus was placed on the defense sector and institutions."
