Dachau – The district of Dachau is preparing intensively to take in refugees from the Ukraine.
As district administrator Stefan Löwl announced, the district had to create 1000 places for war refugees from Ukraine.
As reported, the district office has around 500 accommodation options for private individuals.
Other offers will be reviewed over the next few days "whether they are suitable," says Löwl.
In an emergency, the vocational school gym can be quickly equipped with beds.
On Saturday, the emergency services of the district fire brigades and the technical relief organization Dachau in Erdweg and in the Franziskuswerk Schönbrunn prepared accommodation for the accommodation of refugees, as Maximilian Reimoser, press spokesman for the district fire brigade association, announced.
According to Löwl, 150 people could be accommodated in one wing of the building in Schönbrunn alone.
The furnishings, such as beds, mattresses, bed linen, cupboards, tables and chairs, were picked up from storage by the Corona Aid Hospital and a supplier in Biberbach using logistics vehicles.
The furniture was then transported and set up by the volunteers to the accommodations in Erdweg and Schönbrunn.
In addition to the district fire inspection, the fire brigades Biberbach, Eisenhofen, Großberghofen, Haimhausen, Hebertshausen, Kleinberghofen, Röhrmoos, Schwabhausen, Sigmertshausen, Unterweikertshofen, Vierkirchen and Welshofen as well as the THW with a total of 65 emergency services were deployed.
