Giovanni Zarrella is the new ratings bringer on ZDF.

Nevertheless, the broadcaster should now send him and his TV show on compulsory vacation – until just before Christmas!

Is the strong competition in summer the reason?

Chemnitz – In April it's finally that time again: Giovanni Zarrella (44) presents the fourth edition of his big Saturday evening show.

But after that it should be over for a long time.

The Italian will only be back on the air again in the winter months.

Is the TV competition in the summer with Andrea Kiewel, Florian Silbereisen (here all the news on the topic page) and Stefan Mross just too strong?

"The Giovanni Zarrella Show" has been one of the most popular hit shows ever since it started in September 2021.

In April, the fourth edition will flicker across domestic TV screens.

As far as a strong guest list is concerned, moderation newcomer Giovanni Zarrella (all information about the hit star) is in no way inferior to the old stage hands: Our favorite Italian also relies on well-known music acts and first-class entertainment.

And so it's not surprising that big names are announced for the fourth edition of his show.

Also present are Andrea Berg, Roland Kaiser, Beatrice Egli, Kerstin Ott, Marianne Rosenberg, Maite Kelly, Pietro Lombardi, Sasha and the British singer-songwriter George Ezra.

Giovanni Zarrella Show: After the fourth ZDF show, a 7-month break?

Eight months, four shows: Giovanni Zarrella sets a pretty good pace.

However, this should be over after the show in April.

According to media reports, the fifth "Giovanni Zarrella Show" will only take place shortly before Christmas.

It can't be due to a lack of popularity or bad odds.

Ratings have been consistently high since the first episode of The Giovanni Zarrella Show.

So is the big TV competition in the summer the problem?

Silbereisen, Kiewel, Mross: Is the competition for the "Giovanni Zarrella Show" too big in the summer?

Due to planning difficulties, Florian Silbereisen will not go on the air again until July with his hit festivals (Florian Silbereisen on TV: The most important television programs).

Although there has always been criticism of his shows in the past, the quota clearly speaks for the hit star.

In addition, the ZDF television garden will open its doors again on May 8th.

Until September, Andrea Kiewel presents a strong TV show every week, in which big hit stars are also guests.

But that's not all: Another strong hit show in the starting blocks: "Always Sundays".

The hit show with Stefan Mross also flickers on the home TV screens in the summer months.

The starting signal is on June 12th.

So is the long summer break of the "Giovanni Zarrella Show" actually due to the strong competition?

That remains to be seen.

ZDF has not yet officially communicated any details.
