The Ministry of Immigration and Absorption stated that today (Sunday) more than 600 immigrants will land, who come from Ukraine alone.
This is a record number of new immigrants in one day in Israel since the beginning of the war.
Early in the morning, 122 new immigrants from Ukraine landed on a flight from Poland.
In the afternoon, about 170 more immigrants are expected to land on a flight from Moldova, and in the afternoon, a rescue flight will land with 162 beneficiaries of the Law of Return.
In the late evening a flight will land with 160 additional eligible.
The Ministry of Immigration and Absorption also notes that during the weekend many immigrants continued to arrive on rescue flights and the ministry's employees continued to receive them and even set up an IDF in Terminal 1, where the Ministry of Absorption's employees are on call 24 hours a day.
The Minister of Immigration and Absorption, Pnina Temano Sheta, said: "The employees of the ministry have the right to receive our brothers and sisters who come from Ukraine who have fled the fighting.
I announced an emergency work in the office and the staffs work day and night to provide a full envelope for the immigrants from the moment they land in Israel.
We are aware of the difficulties that immigrants come with.
We stand by them and for them in all areas.
"They are transferred directly from Ben Gurion Airport to the hotels for which we rented rooms in advance and they receive a warm embrace by the office staff."
