The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian forces advanced 12 kilometers into the territory of the Donetsk Republic and targeted 89 military installations of the Ukrainian forces during the past 24 hours.
"The Russian armed forces continue to defeat the Ukrainian nationalist battalion called (Donbass), as it advanced 12 kilometers during the day and reached the Nikolskoye line in cooperation with forces from the Donetsk People's Republic and besieged the town of Sladko from three sides," the ministry's spokesman, Major-General Igor Konashenkov said in a press briefing this evening. Battles are currently taking place with the remnants of that battalion and units of the 54th Brigade of the Ukrainian forces in order to control the towns of Sladko, Novokrinka and Shakhterzko,” noting that the operation resulted in the elimination of 60 militants and the destruction of two tanks, 3 infantry vehicles and 6 field guns.
Konashenkov added: "The forces of the Donetsk People's Republic continued to pursue the retreating units of the 53rd Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and intensified the offensive in the direction of the town of Novomykailovka, where they killed 20 militants and destroyed a tank and an armored personnel carrier."
"On the direction of Novoselovka, units of the Donetsk Republic have penetrated the defenses of the 25th Air Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and continue to advance towards the control of the towns of Kamenka and Novoselovka," Konashenkov continued.
Konashenkov said that Russian aviation hit 89 Ukrainian military installations in one day, including four command posts, two facilities for multiple missile launch systems, nine artillery pieces, five depots for rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, and 65 storage sites for military equipment.
Konashenkov indicated that the Russian air defense systems have shot down seven Ukrainian drones, recalling that since the beginning of the military operation, the Russian forces have destroyed 214 Ukrainian drones, 1,483 tanks and armored military vehicles, 150 rocket launchers, 584 cannons, as well as 1,279 units of special military vehicles.
