After the attack, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett offered his condolences to the families of those killed and wished complete healing to the wounded.
He referred to the neutralization of the terrorist by two civilians, who fired at him.
In a Twitter tweet, Bennett noted that the two shot the terrorist "demonstrated resourcefulness and courage, and prevented further casualties."
He stressed: "The security forces are on maximum alert. We will work hard against terrorist operations. We will pursue and get their aides as well."
