Will the Parole Board order the punishment of a "monstrous human beast"?

On Saturday night, July 24, 1999, 39-year-old Susie and her two children were brutally murdered;

Yair, 4, and Yael, 2, by the father of the family, Amnon Cohen, a taxi driver, after he suspected that his wife was having an affair.

Next month, on April 3, a special release committee of the Courts Administration will convene to discuss the killer's request to serve his sentence.

In a post written by Susie's family members, it read that "the punishment of a murderer who carefully planned the brutal and horrific murder of his loved ones could not be mitigated, souls he was trusting for their safety. "And the family has changed fundamentally. The sense of security and trust in man and in the world has been undermined. We are left to deal with the huge loss and tragedy, and now also with the fear that such a murderer will be set free."

The indictment describes how the killer gave his children a glass of milk containing a dissolved sleeping pill, and after they fell asleep they strangled them to death.

Susie stabbed Susie with a knife and then set fire to the house.

He was sentenced to three cumulative life sentences, and in sentencing the judges called him a "monstrous human beast."

Tel Aviv District Court Judge Nissim Yeshaya wrote in the sentence: "I wonder if a human being stands before us? Was it the birth of a woman who took care of his wife and children in this way, or is it a monstrous human animal devoid of emotions, unaware of love, compassion and forgiveness what are they?".

Judge Miriam Sokolov added at the same time that "Sabroni that in the case before us the acts are so horrific, horrific and monstrous, that it is appropriate for the defendant to stay behind bars for the rest of his life, thereby being permanently removed from society."
