Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed Russia's pride in the courageous performance of its National Guard forces during the special military operation to protect the Donbass population.
"The Russian Guard, which was formed six years ago, has become an integral part and inextricable link of the state system to ensure law and order and protect the rights and interests of our citizens," TASS news agency quoted Putin as saying in a video clip today.
Putin added that the Russian Guard makes a significant contribution to combating terrorism, extremism and organized crime, protecting public order, especially vital facilities, and achieving important results in these and other responsible fields of work.
Putin noted that the soldiers of the Russian National Guard strive to add the best professional standards during their daily service with deep and sincere respect for the veterans of the Internal Security Forces and the structures of the modern Russian Guard.
