The Republic Taekwondo Championship for clubs for girls, young women and women, which was held in Aleppo recently, had the participation of 150 players representing 20 clubs.
Al Karama ranked first in the overall standings of the championship with 13 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze, followed by Dummar Club with 5 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze, then Al Police with 4 gold, 3 silver and 9 bronze, then Ram Al Anz with 3 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze, and the craftsmen fifth with 3 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze .
The head of the Taekwondo Federation, Sherif Derki, indicated in a statement to SANA that the tournament was held with a large participation of female club players from different governorates, and it produced a group of talents that will be within the federation’s attention later within a well-studied plan to prepare it in an optimal manner. Its establishment in Aleppo is to revitalize the game in the governorate.
Ahmed Ghannam, head of the Technical Committee of Taekwondo in Aleppo, stated that the arbitration took place according to the electronic system approved by the World Taekwondo Federation, and therefore the tournament was free of arbitration errors.
A number of female players who won first places expressed their happiness at winning this championship after the strong competitions they had fought and expressed their readiness for the upcoming championships to maintain their lead in their weights.
