Mayor Susanne Hoyer knows that the Rewe market in Langenbach is too small.

But for a possible extension by 400 square meters, a few questions still have to be clarified.

Langenbach

– The Langenbach Rewe market is bursting at the seams.

Goods are stacked in the entrance area, and additional shelves have been set up inside.

The full-range supplier has therefore now submitted an application for a preliminary decision to expand the sales area by 400 square meters.

The extension, which one would like to use for a drinks department, is to be built on the opposite side of the Keller butcher's shop.

Mayor Susanne Hoyer explained in the municipal council: "Everyone who shops there has already noticed that the shop is too small." According to Hoyer, it is about liberating the specified building limit of 1200 square meters.

The parking spaces that would be lost as a result of the expansion are not the problem, because there would always be more left than required by the statute.

The head of the town hall left it open whether the expansion of the market could ultimately be approved.

The project contradicts the state development plan, according to which the area is limited to the current status.

In your opinion, however, this can be deviated from.

This will need to be checked before applying for a building permit.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The motion was approved by the city council.

However, Christine Stein (CSU) found that a photovoltaic system on the huge roof would be "ideal" in terms of orientation.

Hoyer thought something like that was conceivable, but limited: "We can demand it, but not force it." The same applied to Florian Böck's (FW) suggestion that the roof could "at least be greened".

Conclusion: there is still a need for clarification.
