For the time being, Emmanuel Macron is being reasonable on expenses.
Abolition of production taxes and audiovisual levies, renovation of 700,000 homes per year, tripling of the Macron bonus ceiling… he figures his commitments at 50 billion euros.
According to the estimate of the Institut Montaigne, the total of the measures would rather amount to 57.2 billion: 38.4 billion in new additional expenditure and 18.8 billion in reductions in levies.
