With the participation of 95 children and adolescents, the Directorate of Culture of Homs revived the celebration of Orphan's Day 11, which is organized by the directorates of child culture and orphanages in the governorates from 20 to 26 April.
Today’s activities, organized by the Life Skills Team in the Cultural Complex in the Shammas neighborhood in Homs, were directed to the children of the Islamic charitable orphanage and the Syriac Orthodox orphanage, and included entertainment, sports, choir, light games, entertainment and educational competitions, and dances with the participation of children’s favorite cartoon characters, in addition to a storyteller with theatrical director Samer Abu Laila. Distribute gifts to the participants.
The head of the Life Skills team, Saba Wassouf, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the activities within the Sons of the Sun project, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture, seek to make children happy with simple things that bring joy to their hearts so that they have a healthy childhood and feel that there are those who think about bringing joy to their hearts and keeping them away from loneliness.
At the end of the events, the orphans participating expressed their enjoyment of the paragraphs and their gratitude to the organizers, noting the beautiful impact it had on them, addressing their imagination, enhancing their self-confidence, and increasing their communication with others.
