The bride and groom for some reason decided to serve their guests a marijuana-blasted cake at their wedding - and then shared a short video of what subsided after the guests tasted the cake.

Albero Rodriguez, 29, of Santiago, Chile, baked his sister the wedding cake and filled one of the seven layers of the cake with marijuana.

This was not a surprise for the bride and groom - but a special request from the bride.

For the guests, however, it was definitely a surprise.

Albero spent about 20 hours preparing, baking and decorating the traditional wedding cake, which was served at his sister’s event last month.

Although marijuana is illegal for public production and consumption in Chile, it is legal for private consumption at home.

Albero's sister asked him to add the secret ingredient to her wedding cake after tasting the "magical brownies" he made.

The guests did not know about the secret ingredient of the cake - until they received permission to taste it.

In a video that has garnered more than 15 million views on Tiktok, guests are seen cheering the bride and groom as they slice a piece of the innocent-looking wedding cake.

The video then shows about 20 out of 100 wedding guests dancing enthusiastically and laughing as marijuana begins to take effect.

One respondent noted in the comments: "I'm going to do this at my wedding" and another added: "I did not want to get married, but now that I have seen it - I want to get married and then get divorced, just so I can enjoy my magical wedding cake".

Albero later told the Mirror: "It was fun. My sister and I had already tried 'magical brownies' and the effect was very funny, so when she asked me to organize a little for her wedding - I did not think twice. The magic layer itself took me two hours and was pretty easy to prepare. "The same with the butter from the day before and after the brownie was ready, I added it to the other layers with chocolate ganache - and lo and behold. We updated the guests before tasting the cake and after the cake was cut, we made sure it was kept separate from the others and served only to adults."

He added: "The funniest reaction was from my aunt. I remember her back hurting and two hours after she ate from the cake - her pain disappeared and she got up and danced like a young girl.
