Today, the Dar al-Assad Theater for Culture in Lattakia witnessed the launch of the talent train “Young Seniors.. Arts brings us together” in its final stage, which is organized by the Directorate of Education in partnership with the Revolutionary Youth Union and Tala’a al-Baath organizations, amid a heavy presence of official events and union and popular organizations.

The festival included 88 different performances between group and individual, including choir and group singing, expressive and folk dance, gymnastics, kindergarten performances, solo playing, individual sports performances, rhythmic dance, theatrical performances and folklore presented by school students of different age groups, first, second and secondary episodes, in addition to the participation of kindergartens at the governorate level. in its four regions.

The festival also included exhibitions by students who presented 32 paintings, mosaics and collages, 4 works from the lives of local and international artists, group painting works, in addition to individual painting works that reflected the aesthetic sense in its best forms.

In a statement to SANA, Rasha Abdullah Ahmed, Assistant Director of Education for Basic Education and Al-Tala’i Affairs, explained that the festival is in the final stage of the competitions that took place previously and were first at the school level, where each committee evaluated the participating works in each school and kindergarten, then moved to the second stage at the regional level And moving to the last stage today to evaluate the works at the governorate level, in the presence of committees that adopt objective criteria set by the ministry, and the winning work is selected on the basis of them.

Festival coordinator Nawras Khneisah stated that the festival aims to create a state of motivation, competition and positive jealousy among students, develop arts and link them with the sciences taught in schools in order to consolidate extra-curricular activities in building and developing the mentality and personality of the child in all its aspects in schools.

In turn, the coordinator of the Musical Education course, Rodaina Hassan, pointed out that the participating works reflected the passion and love in the children's eyes through expressive folkloric dance paintings and theatrical works that embodied the refined and civilized art in an elitist manner.

Hala Habib, the coordinator of visual and aesthetic art education in Lattakia Governorate, indicated that the participating events were chosen with the aim of achieving happiness and conveying joy to the children's souls and moving them from a state of tranquility to a state of creativity and eliciting latent talents.

In turn, the director of Kindergarten Faten Ali explained the criteria adopted by the evaluation committee, which include technology, idea, creativity, innovation, movement and formation, indicating that the purpose of the festival is to build and strengthen the child's distinctive personality, especially since 3-year-olds were involved in the festival.

Head of the Department of Physical Education in Lattakia Governorate Bassam Zarawand pointed out that the festival highlighted the importance of sports in our daily lives through a selection of sports performances, focusing on the quality, aesthetics, and importance of movement, and the integration and accuracy of performances.

The head of the School Theater Department in Lattakia Education, Ghaida Muhammad, indicated that the festival showed the tip of the iceberg of promising talents and a future generation capable of achieving hope by working, building the nation, and achieving aspirations.

At the end of the festival, the participating offers were evaluated to select the three best works and submitted them to the Ministerial Evaluation Committee to announce the results.
