Near the sea off Ponte 16 at the Macau Inner Harbor Pier, a boat caught fire and smoked at around 6 pm yesterday (25th), and then at least six fishing boats were affected.
The fire department, customs and maritime affairs bureau of Macau, together with the rescue department of Zhuhai, dispatched a number of ships to the scene to rescue the fire, and the fire was brought under control.
And so far (26th) at 4 am, the fire was once extinguished.
Unexpectedly, at 7:00 am, two boats re-ignited again, and the rescue boats continued to shoot water to cool down.
The Macau Maritime and Water Bureau stated that due to the resurgence of fishing boats in response to the fire in the inner port, in order to ensure safety, the flight from the inner port to Wanchai was temporarily suspended this morning until further notice.
