A video released by police in Albuquerque, New Mexico, shows the moment a speeding sports car crashes into a school bus, injuring seven of the 23 students on board.
The accident occurred on February 23 shortly after four in the afternoon.
A man identified as Mario Pérez was driving a white Mustang car at 110 miles (177 kilometers) per hour when he crashed into one of the rear wheels of the school bus.
In the images you can see how the students fly from their seats due to the crash, which caused the bus to overturn on its side.

Seven students were injured, two of them seriously.
One of the minors, identified as 14-year-old Lyla Maldonado, suffered a pelvic fracture and underwent surgery.
"These kids are going to suffer from that trauma for a while because every time they get on the bus they'll remember what happened. It's something that stays with them for a while," Alfred Lucero, the young woman's grandfather, told the NBC affiliate station. News in Albuquerque.

According to what the authorities informed the local press, Pérez was racing at high speed with another Mustang vehicle.

The 49-year-old appeared in court on Saturday in a wheelchair with bruises on his hands.
He faces two counts of serious bodily injury caused by a motor vehicle.
The judge released him until the trial, for which there is still no date, but prohibited him from driving.
The authorities are now looking for the driver with whom Pérez was doing the race.
