The animal shelter Nuremberg is looking for a new home for a very special dog.

Charly is already eleven years old, but enchants with his positive sides.

Nuremberg - "Do I really have to enjoy my last rays of sunshine in the animal shelter?": The Nuremberg animal shelter is looking for a new home for dog grandpa Charly with an emotional Facebook post.

"I'm Charly, eleven years old and a very fit and active dog grandpa," write the animal rights activists.

"Right now I'm crying a lot."

The eleven-year-old male has been waiting for a new home at the animal shelter for over a year.

Charly has many good sides and would certainly be very happy about a new family.

The dog discovered his passion for mantrailing at the animal shelter.

"I'm really into it and I have a lot of fun with it." He is a very loving and cuddly animal.

He would also listen to his master and could even open doors.

"I like to go for long walks, but on a leash, because otherwise I like to get caught by the hunting instinct," said the animal shelter in the Facebook post.

"I can also drive a car and stay alone, as well as play ball."

What interested parties should note, however, is that a certain dog experience is necessary.

Charly likes to defend his toys or food.

His new family should therefore keep their hands off the food when he is eating.

He takes very good care of his home.

"Due to my age, my new home should be on the ground floor or with a lift!

Who will give me a home so that I don't have to cry anymore?": With these words, the animal shelter ends the Facebook post.
