Former US president markets his account on a new social network • Despite Musk's giant acquisition: Trump has yet to tweet again

Concurrent with the acquisition of Twitter by tycoon Alon Musk, former U.S. President Donald Trump marketed his account on his new social network "Truth Social" and in a first post wrote "I'm back" early Friday morning.

Despite rumors that the 45th president will return to tweeting on Twitter after Musk's dramatic takeover, Trump preferred to appeal to his audience through the app launched last February, which competes with the American network giant and is currently available for Apple devices only.

"I'm back #COVFEFE," wrote the former president who used the famous hashtag from his tenure in the White House that means unclear, but most likely a typo that went viral following the millions of users who followed him.

As you may recall, Trump was permanently blocked from Twitter after the January 2021 presidential election in front of Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

The loss was accompanied by unprecedented riots on Capitol Hill by supporters of the former president.

The unusual move caused a stir and a public debate regarding freedom of expression.

This is in light of the fact that the account of the US President was removed while the account of dark figures like Iran's supreme leader and Taliban spokesmen continued to operate as usual.

The policy of banning and silencing Twitter without definite protocols and clear rules are some of the reasons that led Musk, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX, to decide to acquire the company a few days ago.

The giant deal is valued at $ 44 billion.
