It is difficult to explain to those who have not been "there" and returned, what those fireworks cause the battle shocks and how sometimes a year of treatments and daily dealing with the harsh reality, just dissipates • In the last year, more and more authorities have started finding solutions to fireworks noise • See and learn

In recent years, I have been promoting the elimination of fireworks noise on the eve of Independence Day.

I met with mayors and councils, with MKs and ministers from all parties, with public figures and with anyone who was only willing to discuss the issue and of course, I wrote about it everywhere.

The highlight for me was the Day of Remembrance for IDF Martyrs and Hostilities last year. After a friend of mine set himself on fire, I wrote a column in which I called on the heads of the Israeli authorities. I called on them to consider us - those suffering from post-trauma The name of that friend - Itzik Saidian.

There are quite a few reasons why the noise of fireworks should be turned off even though over the years it has become a significant part of Independence Day celebrations.

The main reason is that over the years technology has advanced and evolved.

There are fireworks that create the spectacular effect without the noise hazard that strikes a variety of populations - people and children with emotional and sensory regulation problems, pregnant women, the mentally handicapped and animals.

In addition, consideration can be given to using skimmers, lasers and alternative solutions that can be no less festive substitutes than regular fireworks -

in short, they are five minutes of huge budget waste for the authorities, a budget that can be used for other needs for the residents of the authority.

Also, one should recognize and consider the damage that those volcanic eruptions cause to battle blows.

The incident in which I was injured included many explosive echoes and smells of smoke and burning dust.

These are tangible memories that I feel and re-experience every day.

My friends who were hit by gunfire, missiles and explosives, while guarding like a wall in front of the enemy, also carry the day of their injury every day.

It's hard to explain to someone who has not been "there" and returned when the experience accompanies him, what those fireworks cause us and how sometimes a year of treatments and daily dealing with the harsh reality, just dissipates when the day of injury rises again to the accompanying explosive noise.

All this after a day that is already very difficult for us in which we miraculously raise our friends who have not returned from the battle.

In the last year, more and more authorities have started finding solutions to the noise of fireworks.

Increased to do Minister Hili Trooper, who is familiar with the issue of dealing with post-trauma, when he canceled the fireworks at the main ceremony on Mount Herzl.

From it you will see, and so you will.

Ehud Amiton,

was moderately injured in 2006 during an operational activity in Hebron during his military service.

Were we wrong?
