From Independence Day until Saturday, Israeli residents will be able to spend time in a variety of heritage sites, battle sites, national parks and nature reserves.


A festive weekend full of events, tutorials, tours and activities awaits the celebrating Israeli citizens starting today (Thursday).

Air Force Mets

Heritage Sites and the "For the Heritage" March

The flagship event of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel is the "For the Heritage" march, which will take place on Friday between Degania and the Sea of ​​Galilee, in a circular route 2.5 kilometers long, which will leave the Kinneret courtyard and return to it.

The march route will pass through exciting heritage points such as Rachel's Garden, the memorial corner for the Miss Farm, a doll's tomb - the first separation of the Kinneret group, the eucalyptus grove and more.

Along the route there will be colorful and cool play stations with music, actors and storytellers.

The Nature and Parks Authority will hold free tours until Saturday at some of its sites, as part of the Ministry of Tourism's training project in order to assist guides in the country.

The trainings will take place in Yehiam, Tzipori, Kochav Hayarden National Park, Beit Alfa, Chai Bar Carmel Reserve, Migdal Tzedek, Beit Guvrin, Nahal Prat Reserve, Nabi Samuel, Herodium and more.

The tutorials will take place at 10:00 and 14:30 every half hour.
