Now it's official: Exactly five years after its establishment, CEO here, Eldad Koblenz is finishing his work at the corporation, the corporation council announced tonight (Saturday).
At the end of the week, the president of the Regional Labor Court, Judge Eyal Avrahami, rejected Koblenz's application for a restraining order against his dismissal from
the corporation.
Council members that "Freifeld has been serving as VP for about 4 years, during which time the corporation has recorded many successes and achievements in the field of content, and has proven itself as a professional and talented director."
In this context it should be noted that Freifeld was herself an appointment of Koblenz.

An email sent by council chairman Gil Omar to the corporation's employees this evening read: “I would like to thank Eldad, on behalf of the corporation council and on my behalf, for the corporation's many contributions and achievements under his leadership.
Eldad has many significant rights in the success of the corporation, as well as in its very establishment, which was known to be a tortuous and not easy journey.
"Today it can be said with confidence that the public receives quality and diverse service and content, sometimes even groundbreaking, in accordance with the intention of the legislature in the Public Broadcasting Law - under the watch of Eldad and with you - directors, managers and employees of all corporations.
"The corporation's board has elected the TV's VP, Tal Freifeld, as the deputy CEO, until a permanent CEO is elected.
After discussions with companies and members of the corporation's senior management, I have no doubt that Tal will have the full cooperation of the management and I am convinced that you, the facts and employees of the corporation, will do everything possible to ensure that the excellent work continues in the interim.
Together with the professional successes, public broadcasting must set an example and role model even in the field of relationships and the work environment.
The good of the public broadcaster and the corporation, is the only consideration guiding the council in all its decisions.

A murky relationship
Either way, Koblenz's time at the corporation was limited as his additional tenure was not an option: even if the council had not ousted him, it would not have voted for him for another term.
Already at the end of last month, the Council of the Broadcasting Corporation decided to remove the CEO of the Koblenz corporation from office. The decision came after a difficult exchange between Koblenz and the council and a hearing in recent weeks. .

As mentioned, in the Procaccia Commission's audit report published at the end of 2021, the report imposed on the corporation a series of corrections to the deficiencies that came up in its examination of the findings of the country investigation that revealed a series of employee testimonies of abuse and sexual harassment.
Among the requirements of the report, the parties were instructed to enter into a mediation procedure, a kind of "couple therapy", since the murky relationship between the parties harms the day-to-day work of the corporation.
The report gives a target of about six months to complete the move.
