Fifty people were killed and several others wounded in an attack on a church in Ondo state, southwest Nigeria, today.
And the Associated Press quoted state representative Ogunmulosoye Ulwool as saying that "armed men opened fire while crowds gathered for prayer in St. Francis Church in Ondo state, and also detonated explosive devices inside the church, killing 50 people, including women and children, and wounding several others."
A doctor at a hospital in the southwestern town of Ou, confirmed that the bodies of at least 50 people had been taken to the Federal Medical Center in Ou and St. Louis Hospital.
