Busy, but not overcrowded: Despite the 9 euro ticket, train operations in the Miesbach district ran smoothly on the Pentecost weekend.

The transport company had feared overcrowded buses and trains due to the 9-euro ticket.
But the Pentecost weekend was quiet in the Miesbach district.
District
- "Please arrive by public transport." A well-known advice from tourism to all day-trippers on the way to Schliersee and Tegernsee.
An addition has recently been added: "If possible, avoid the off-peak times (morning/evening) and don't head for destinations that are already overcrowded," says the recent excursion ticker for the Tegernsee-Schliersee Alpine region (ATS).
The reason: the feared overloading of buses and trains (especially by the transport companies) due to the introduction of the 9 euro ticket.
9-Euro-Ticket: Difficult to assess crowds due to lack of comparative figures
How full the vehicles of the Bavarian Regiobahn (BRB) and Regionalverkehr Oberbayern (RVO) were actually on the Pentecost weekend, there were no figures yesterday.
In any case, the police speak of quiet days without major incidents.
9-euro ticket: chaos neither on the streets nor on the rails
The managing director of the Alpenbahnen Spitzingsee-Tegernsee, Peter Lorenz, who lives in Schliersee, observed well-frequented trains.
But he couldn't say whether there was more going on than on a normal weekend trip.
A comparison is hardly possible because the weather forecast could have influenced the behavior.
"It was much worse announced than it actually was." Perhaps some of them preferred to stay at home for fear of storms.
Either way: there was apparently no chaos on the streets or on the rails at Pentecost.
