A mayor from the center of the country and three of his associates were released today (Monday) under restrictive conditions and were removed from the municipality for two days.
They were detained this morning for questioning on suspicion of committing offenses of fraud and breach of trust, extortion, abuse of office, bribery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
The police investigation into the affair began about a year ago after a complaint was received that the public official demanded to fire him or remove his opponents and their families, as a condition for transferring budgets to institutions that employ them and are budgeted by the authority.
Three mayors of the mayor are suspected of having acted on his mission in order to realize his will and intentions.
The Economic Department of the State Attorney's Office is accompanying the investigation, which is currently being conducted by investigators from the National Fraud Investigation Unit (JHA) in Blade 433.
Advocate Ofer Bartel, from the office of Bartel Cohen, said on behalf of the mayor: "The mayor was not taken in for questioning by the police. He was summoned by telephone and reported immediately. "In his name by several people to threaten others and things will become clear. We suggest that everyone wait patiently for the end of the investigation, in order to realize that his behavior was not flawed."
