Homs-Sana
The activities of the Citadel and Valley Festival kicked off this evening from the courtyard of the Church of Our Lady of Al-Mantabiyah in the village of Al-Qalatiah in the western countryside of Homs.
The festival, which is organized by the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with the Homs Governorate, includes a series of concerts for bands and choirs, poetry evenings and music, various festivals for scouting teams, exhibitions of traditional professions, painting, sculpture, and honey harvesting.
The sports activities included in the festival vary, including bicycle marathons, car drifts, chess tournaments, and a motorbike rally, in addition to the village wedding, the heritage of the village, popular rural evenings, and hygiene campaigns in a number of villages in the valley.
