An indictment was filed in the Nazareth District Court today (Sunday) for serious violence against two young men from Tiberias, one of whom is a Golani fighter in regular service.

The two severely beat a 51-year-old man who was previously their mother's spouse and allegedly came to their apartment frequently to harass their mother.

He previously ran a prison sentence after assaulting her.

The indictment filed by the Northern District Attorney's Office to Judge Alona Lindenstrauss-Arieli attributes to the two brothers, aged 19.5 and 18, an offense of grievous bodily harm in aggravated circumstances.

The indictment states that on Saturday a week and a half ago, the man from Haifa arrived at his ex-wife's apartment.

The woman was not at home, while the two young men were at the scene.

According to the indictment, the man left the place and due to the anger of the two brothers over him, they decided to harm him.

They spotted him about 500 meters from an apartment and beat him vigorously with iron bars and left him wounded and lying on the floor.

The indictment states that they hit him with one of his hands, one of his legs, his head and broke his rib.

The injury, it was claimed, endangered his life and he was hospitalized at Poria Hospital near Tiberias.

The two boys have no criminal record and attorneys Ofer Sabo and Amjad Shufani, who represent them on behalf of the Public Defender's Office, intend to ask the court to release them under house arrest.

A request may even be considered that the defendant serving as a Golani fighter be released to his base.

The story of the two defendants describes a very difficult life mask.

Their mother and father were orphaned as children and immigrated to Israel from the Ukraine and Moldova and were treated by an organization in which two of the main activities, mother and daughter, immigrants from the United States, adopted the two and they grew up as family members.

When their two sons, who are today accused of assault, were toddlers, the father died and a few years later their mother married the same man who then became their stepfather.

But the same man, who used to get drunk, hit her and along with seven offenses that had already been imputed to his duty before, including a serious violent offense against his father, he was sentenced to six months in prison.

In the arguments for his sentence that the police prosecutors then brought before the Magistrate's Court in Tiberias, they claimed that "this defendant did not spare his father in the past, as he did not spare his wife in this case, and domestic violence is not unusual in his life pattern, and is a way of life Like his family. "

Even though the woman broke up with him he would keep coming to her apartment, sometimes drunk and with a knife.

Yael, in whose family the mother of the two grew up and who treats the two boys as their aunt, told Walla that the two grew up in an atmosphere of severe violence on his part and experienced constant threat to them and their mother.

According to her, in the week before the attack of the two against him, he used to come to their apartment every day and harass their mother, while at home their two younger brothers, the sons of another man.

On the day he was beaten, their mother was not home and she said upon his arrival they felt a danger to peace to their little ones.
