Model agent Shay Avital, who is suspected of numerous sexual offenses, only had time to stay in the Netherlands for seven hours before he was arrested on Thursday.
This is according to details published by Network 13's Amsterdam correspondent Eli Senor.
According to the report, before that he stayed in Belgium.
Avital arrived at the Maya Steak House restaurant in the Leidseplein area, where he was identified by a passerby who reported to the Israeli police.
The police headquarters in Israel forwarded the complaint to the Netherlands, and police arrived to arrest him.
The representative of the Israel Police in the Netherlands, Sen. Yael Reichard, arrived at the scene with local police officers, called him "Shay" and when he turned around and answered "yes", he was arrested.
At this point there is no clear assessment if the extradition request will be approved, which is currently based on two cases of indecent acts which are backed by solid evidence, out of 26 complaints. If the Israeli police are given an extension, it is possible that they will be able to formulate a more detailed extradition request, which will increase the chances of the move being successful.

The police said this evening that Avital was arrested following a lengthy intelligence effort, during which they followed his movements in various points in Europe.
Details provided by the police indicate that the fact that Avital arrived in the Netherlands was known, and as a result an international arrest warrant was issued for him. The owner of the restaurant near which Avital was arrested said that he served him and his friends food and tried to say a few words to them in Hebrew, but according to him, the three did not respond and kept their distance.
He stopped 150 meters from the restaurant.
At this stage, it was further reported, Shai Avital is keeping silent.
Yesterday it was announced on Network 13 that Avital may use the Portuguese passport that he holds, and by virtue of which he is considered a citizen of the European Union.
If indeed he acts this way, it will make it even more difficult to extradite him to Israel.
