Steven Hoffenberg, Jeffrey Epstein's business partner who served 18 years in prison for running a Ponzi scheme that defrauded many investors, was found dead in his apartment on Tuesday, the New York Post reported.
According to the report, the police discovered his body after his mother alerted him that he had not left his house for a long time.
The police said that there is no indication of intentional sabotage and that they are waiting to see what the pathological findings (mainly dental photographs) will show to verify that it is indeed Hoffenberg, the police said.
Hoffenberg was once Epstein's boss and even claimed that he was complicit in the huge fraud for which he was sent to prison.
Although it has not been proven that Epstein was involved in defrauding investors, questions remain about the source of his large fortune until his death.
As you may recall, Ashpatine was arrested a few years ago for his activity of pimping minors and trafficking them for sex purposes for various people, with the help of socialite Gillean Maxwell, who was recently convicted on several counts of involvement in the case.
Epstein, who was convicted more than a decade ago in a similar case, committed suicide in prison even before the start of his trial in 2019.
The circumstances of his death to this day have become fertile ground for conspiracy enthusiasts that various powerful parties wanted to eliminate him because they were allegedly on his private island, where it is alleged that he provided them with the minors for sexual purposes and possibly even for extortion.
