Russia criticized the European Troika's statement questioning Tehran's negotiating intentions, saying it came at the wrong time.
Russia's delegate to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, said on his Twitter account today: The statement of the European trio "came at the wrong time and at a very important moment in the Vienna negotiations and on the eve of the session of the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors."
The three European countries, France, Germany and Britain, had questioned Iran's seriousness in seeking to revive the nuclear agreement signed in 2015 and from which the United States exited in 2018, claiming in a joint statement that Iran "chose not to exploit this crucial diplomatic opportunity and instead continued to escalate its nuclear program beyond any reasonable civil justification.”
