Between 6 and 8 months in prison were required on Thursday evening October 13 in Lille against six prison guards, tried for "
violence in a meeting by a person holding public authority
" against an inmate of a prison. North stop.
These guards employed at the prison of Sequedin, near Lille, had been placed in police custody on September 27, on the basis of a complaint from a prisoner, then under judicial supervision.
Aged between 30 and 44, the six defendants, all of imposing stature, admitted the facts.

The prosecution requested six months in prison for five of them, and eight months for the first supervisor, responsible for the team, as well as a permanent ban on exercising in the public service for all.

The facts date back to January 3, when the six guards intervened for a disturbance in a cell occupied by two prisoners.
One of the two prisoners, under arrest warrant as part of an investigation for drug trafficking, is discovered naked in the shower, with a frying pan in his hand, insulting his fellow prisoner.
Deemed threatening, he was then handcuffed and taken out of his cell to be placed in a disciplinary unit.
The facts were filmed by the prison's CCTV cameras.
Broadcast to the audience, the twenty-minute film shows the guards taking the prisoner out of his cell, then handcuffing him, hands behind his back, completely naked.
He is then dragged on the prison floor for a few meters, then taken to the disciplinary section.
During this transfer of several minutes, he will suffer violence, in particular a cleat behind the head which makes him fall or even kicks.
The video also shows the victim thrown naked into a puddle in the middle of a wet yard, just before being brought to the disciplinary block.
The inmate, with wavy red hair, was present at the hearing.
He was issued with an incapacity for work of less than seven days.
