Today, the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, issued a decree to form a new government in the country, with the membership of 15 ministers.
KUNA reported that the decree appointed Ahmad Nawaf Al-Sabah as Prime Minister, Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as First Vice-President of the Council and Minister of Interior, Barak Ali Barak Al-Shaitan as Vice-President of the Council and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Badr Al-Mulla as Minister of Oil and Deputy Prime Minister.
The decree also included the appointment of Abdul-Wahhab Al-Rasheed as Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Salem Al-Sabah as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Abdullah Al-Salem as Minister of Defense.
The new Kuwaiti government is the 41st in the country's history, and the fifth during the era of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who took power on September 29, 2020.
