Dominic Raab at Justice

Rishi Sunak has appointed his close ally Dominic Raab as justice minister and deputy prime minister, posts he had held under Boris Johnson, Downing Street has announced.

This appointment thus marks the return of Dominic Raab, 48, head of diplomacy from 2019 to 2021 then Minister of Justice until last September, at the highest level in government.

Already Deputy Prime Minister, he replaced Boris Johnson when the latter was hospitalized for several days with Covid-19 in the spring of 2020.
