Rishi Sunak has appointed his close ally Dominic Raab as justice minister and deputy prime minister, posts he had held under Boris Johnson, Downing Street has announced.
This appointment thus marks the return of Dominic Raab, 48, head of diplomacy from 2019 to 2021 then Minister of Justice until last September, at the highest level in government.

Rishi Sunak has also decided to keep Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt in office, appointed in disaster in mid-October by Liz Truss to calm the financial storm caused by his economic program.
