At about 4 am today (8th), the police received a report from the security guard of Haida Village, alleging that a man fell into a 2-meter-deep roadside ditch outside the Haisheng Building.
Firefighters arrived and rescued the victim, who was in a coma at the time. He was sent to Caritas Hospital by ambulance and was confirmed dead.

It is understood that the deceased is 63 years old, Thai nationality, holding a Hong Kong identity card.
At the time of the incident, the victim fell into the roadside ditch due to his wallet, so he picked up two triangular canal covers each about 1.5 feet in size and picked it up. During the incident, he lost his balance and fell into the canal.
A security guard who was about 30 meters away from the canal at that time was shocked and called the police.
On-site news said that when the firefighters arrived, they found the victim submerged in the water of the ditch, and immediately rescued him and sent him to the hospital; after that, the police used equipment to clear the water of the ditch, and then they searched for the owner at the bottom of the canal. wallet.
