There were three crime scenes on Friday in Weilheim: First, a shot 60-year-old was discovered in the front yard of a house on Pistlgasse, who died shortly thereafter (1), at 7:15 p.m. the alleged perpetrator was discovered dead on a park bench near the Ammer (2 ).

Four dead people who are discovered at three different crime scenes within five hours: an unbelievable drama took place in Weilheim on Friday.

Weilheim

– Around 10 p.m. on Friday evening, a Weilheimer suddenly heard noise in front of the apartment building on Oderdinger Straße.

Looking out the window, he sees around 20 police officers who forced their way into the house and smashed the windows of the garage in the former painting shop.

"Of course I wondered what was going on there," he tells the local newspaper.

He also talked to a neighbor who had also become aware of the noise.

It wasn't until he read the news about the four dead on the internet the next morning that he felt uneasy: "I thought to myself, does that have anything to do with the case?" And in fact he became a kind of witness, like his partner his neighbor Franz D. and their twin sister were found dead in the house.

In general, we do not report suicides, lest such cases encourage potential imitators.

Reporting only takes place if the circumstances receive special public attention.

Death drama in Weilheim: 60-year-old shot in the front yard

It was the final chord of a drama that begins around 4:50 p.m.

(You can find the original message here).

The emergency call reports that a seriously injured man is lying in the front yard of Pistlgasse.

When the police and rescue services arrive, each of which has their headquarters just a few hundred meters away, they immediately begin resuscitation, but are unable to help the man.

It is a 60-year-old who lived in the apartment building - and he has at least one gunshot wound, confirms a spokesman for the police headquarters in Oberbayern-Süd.

"I heard that, too," he says.

A large-scale manhunt for the perpetrator is immediately launched, and reinforcements are called in from all the surrounding police stations.

But who are they looking for?

And where?

Another crime scene - another dead person: passers-by find a body on a park bench

A suitable piece of the puzzle emerges around two and a half hours later.

A dead man is reported on a park bench right on Ammerdamm near the railway bridge.

It is a 59-year-old who apparently took his own life.

A handgun was found next to him, the police did not want to say more.

“It is being investigated whether it is the murder weapon.

Of course that's obvious," says the police spokesman.

Traditional economy in the Oberland brought back to life

A dead man with a gunshot wound, a man who shoots himself with a gun - it quickly becomes obvious that the 59-year-old on the park bench is the perpetrator.

It is Franz D., a master painter who sold his shares in the business and was in early retirement.

He lived with his partner on Oderdinger Strasse, where he used to run his painting business.

When the investigators rush there in the evening, they find not only the dead partner (57) but also her twin sister.

Both were not shot, but had "massive injuries".

Did Franz D. kill her?

An autopsy should clarify that, results are not expected before Tuesday.

Drama in Weilheim is the talk of the town – but initially everything is quiet

The terrible events spread quickly over the course of Saturday, and the bloody deed is the talk of the town.

Journalists from all over Germany come to Weilheim, but it's still quiet around 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Police patrols are at the two crime scenes and make sure that nobody goes onto the property.

On Pistlgasse (which curiously cannot be found on Google, only Petelgasse is offered there) a mobile home is parked behind a high hedge, on Sunday a few candles and flowers are placed there for mourning.

Citizens also took part with candles on Oderdinger Strasse, and the smashed windows were provisionally covered with boards.

Creepy: The park bench on the Ammer has been released, despite clearly visible traces of blood.

The search for the background: did Franz D. have a gun license?

Many open questions remain.

For example, where Franz D. got the gun from.

Did he have a permit, did he have a firearms license?

The exact sequence of events is also still unclear – the police deliberately did not write whether the sisters or the 60-year-old were killed first and whether it happened in quick succession.

Also, what happened between 4:50 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. when the alleged perpetrator was discovered dead?

Has he gone anywhere else, or can he sit dead on a bench by the Ammer near a busy footpath for hours without anyone noticing?

"It was dark, that's not impossible," said the police spokesman.

Neighbor describes: There were frequent arguments with the family of the partner

It is questionable what the police will reveal in the investigation results.

"The investigation is not over just because the alleged perpetrator is dead.

We will shed light on the background,” it says.

However, it was communicated that it was a relationship act.

The 59-year-old is dead, so the question of the motive is also a question of privacy protection, the spokesman said.

The neighbor, who had a good relationship with Franz D., reports that there were frequent arguments with the family of the partner.

It was also about money, and Franz D. was also attacked by hand, the former painter told him.

The partner, who used to run the hairdressing salon next door, had had health problems for years.

Franz D. was a "really nice guy," says the neighbor.

For example, he regularly supplied the neighbors and a nearby doctor's office with home-made pizza.

He liked to drive his Ford Mustang.

"It's really crazy what happened there," says the neighbor, who still can't really believe what happened.

It is questionable whether all backgrounds come to light.
