Argentina are convinced: new Diego Maradona footage from 1986 hints that the Albiceleste will lift the World Cup for a third time.
A video published in the last few days shows Maradona playing cards with his Argentina teammates, and one of the cards seen next to him is the "Five Cups" card - the same card that Messi received before winning the Copa America.
In the movie "Champions of the Americas" which is broadcast on Netflix and shows the stories behind the scenes in the Albiceleste's journey to win the jackpot last year, Papo Gomes says that the card in question of Messi was the "talisman" of the team.
Gomes tells the story about a card game that the team played on one of the free evenings during the tournament, during which everyone present in the room managed to guess at least one card that was hidden from them.
Each participant had 10 guesses, and only Messi got the first nine guesses wrong.
In the last attempt, he correctly guessed the "Five Cups" card - if it had a symbolic meaning: Messi lost all four of his previous finals with the national team,
Argentina's players believed that this was a sign from heaven, and the sequel is known: the Albiceleste did lift the trophy, and Messi received the title he was waiting for in the national team uniform.
Now Maradona has also been recorded with the exact same card, and for the Argentinians this is sufficient vision to predict what will happen in the 2022 World Cup as well.

And while Argentina are getting their hopes up, Neymar and Brazil are very confident.
The Celso were the last to land in Qatar, and arrived last night in high spirits.
Neymar documented himself on social media with what was interpreted as a statement: the national team shorts he wore were decorated with six stars - and not five as Brazil's number of World Cup victories.
Argentina will play in Group C which also includes Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
Brazil was drawn into Group 7 with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.
