The Seventh Arts Forum, organized by the branch of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization in Lattakia, entitled “Creative Hands Draw with Letters of Light,” concluded its activities today with an art festival at the Martyr Abdul Qadir Zaybak School on the southern corniche in Lattakia.

The festival highlighted the Syrian heritage, the popular heritage in general, and the heritage of Latakia in particular, as part of a comprehensive exhibition of arts including origami, sculpture, copper pressing, professions, handicrafts and heritage that simulate the vocabulary of the environment, in addition to folkloric paintings from the heritage of the Syrian coast, folk costumes, traditional foods, sweets and works. Handicrafts, painting, art shows and fashion shows related to the heritage of Latakia.

A member of the leadership of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization, head of the Office of Arts and Leadership, Haitham Abu Mogheb, explained to SANA reporter the importance of the forum, which constitutes a bridge for the transfer of heritage through art, in order to introduce the Syrian identity in a pleasant and simplified way, and to bring joy and pleasure to the souls of our children, and enhance their abilities to express it better through art.

In her turn, a member of the leadership of the Vanguards of the Baath branch and head of the Bureau of Culture and Arts, Maysa Daghman, explained the importance of this forum for developing children's talents, refining and building their personality through art, and acquiring new skills that promote national issues with the aim of advancing children's issues and talents and caring for them.

The director of the Martyr Abdul Qadir Zaibaq Unit, Fatima Shammout, explained that the event aims to see joy in the eyes of children, their families and their local community, stressing the need to develop the child's personality, artistic and aesthetic taste, and a sense of love for the homeland and attachment to it.

Manal Mardini, the art coordinator at the First Vanguard Activities School, emphasized the importance of the activities presented by children from different schools, including painting on glass, extracting combinations and remnants of nature from leaves, twigs, shells and stones, and coordinating them beautifully using drawing, wooden colors and pastel colors to form with their tender hands a group of beautiful works that reflected the beauty of And the pure joy of their hearts.
