A big thank you to the town hall administration.

Eching

– At the end of the year, the so-called “Christmas session” of the Eching municipal council was far more forgiving than at the Christmas party: the last public municipal council meeting of 2022 closed with a good deed, good wishes and moderate tones. As is good custom, it was also done the attendance fee for the December meeting was donated to a good cause and rounded up to 1000 euros by Mayor Sebastian Thaler.

The committee unanimously followed the proposal put forward by CSU parliamentary group spokesman Georg Bartl to donate the funds to the Freising Hospice Association.

Of course, the year-end statements from all groups could not be missing.

And they had a predominantly conciliatory paint job.

Georg Bartl opened the round of good wishes.

A big thank you to the administration was unanimously expressed in all contributions.

Free voter spokesman Christoph Gürtner explicitly praised the great work, especially with the new employees in the town hall.

According to Mayor Sebastian Thaler, there were a total of 22 new jobs.

Gürtner's positive conclusion was: "There was no sign of a tired official mold".

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Herbert Hahner (SPD) sees "homemade problems" at the local political level, and in clear allusion to the allegations against the mayor and pending court judgments in the so-called "Causa Thaler" there is "a big gray elephant in the room".

It is all the more important to get the new year off to a good start and to tackle the tasks with a lot of energy.

Looking back, Michaela Holzer (BfE) spoke of a strenuous year 2022. A lot had been achieved.

She particularly emphasized the good discussions at the internal council meeting.

Christoph Gürtner (FW) acknowledged the variety of the often “mixed-up” local council resolutions, which were not based on blocs or group opinions, but were characterized by factual arguments.

Siglinde Lebich (Greens) formulated the wish to improve cooperation and to make decisions that served the progress of the community.

The final word was reserved for Heinz-Müller Saala (FDP) as a senior below the councils: He assured that he had enjoyed working on the committee.
