Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian condemned the terrorist attack that took place yesterday in front of the Afghan Foreign Ministry building, stressing that terrorism is the common enemy of the countries of the region.
“What happened yesterday in Kabul and what happened some time ago in the shrine of Shahgrah in the southwestern city of Shiraz have one root, and to combat it we must have one policy and cooperate with all our might to fight the terrorists,” Abdullahian said during a phone call with his Afghan counterpart Amir Khan Mottaki today. He expressed his sympathy with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack.
For his part, the Afghan Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for Tehran's permanent support to his country, stressing the importance of cooperation with friendly countries to confront terrorism affecting the region.
