In the search for government documents, more sensitive documents were found in a garage owned by US President Joe Biden from his time as Vice President.
The "small number of additional documents" with classified information markings were discovered in a storage room in the garage of Biden's home in Wilmington, Delaware, the White House said.
It became public on Monday that Biden had kept secret documents from his time as Vice President Barack Obama in his private offices at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, DC.
These were found when the office was cleared out last November, shortly before the important midterm elections.
Another document has now been discovered in Biden's garage in an adjacent room between stored materials.
No records were found at Biden's home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
In this case, too, the Ministry of Justice was notified immediately.
The search was completed on Wednesday, according to the US President's special adviser, Richard Sauber.
The situation is politically extremely sensitive for Biden, because his predecessor Donald Trump caused a scandal in the summer with a similar case.
He had kept numerous secret documents in his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida (read more about this here).
So far it is unclear how exactly the Biden documents that have now been found are classified, what their content is and how many documents are involved.
