The support association of the Realschule Oberding supports in many ways.
Oberding
– The support association has been in action at the Realschule Oberding for more than eight years, and it can point to considerable success during this time.
This was reported by the chairman, former mayor Helmut Lackner, at the association's meeting.
The number of members has grown to 121.
Proof that the parents follow the work of the association very positively and are then also willing to support the model.
The chairman was particularly pleased with the interest of the political representatives from the communities who send students to the Realschule.
The activities of previous years were also slowed down in Oberding by the corona pandemic, so that in recent years support has been "low flame" after the school had also suffered considerably during this time.
Lackner recalled the various projects such as robotics, which had digitization in mind in particular, or the screwdriver workshop.
For this purpose, BMW had provided engines on which the interested students could work under expert guidance.
Furthermore, a cooperation with the Oberdinger community library was supported.
The elective subject Homeland and Customs was also introduced, which is still very popular today.
The association paid special attention to the school trips, which received massive support.
In particular, the students whose parents were not always in a position to manage the participation for financial reasons were considered.
In addition, there were school events such as the May, autumn or end-of-year celebrations, at which prizes were also awarded to the best students.
For 2023, the association plans to pick up speed to support established and new projects.
Treasurer Thomas Kirchmeier pointed out that a corresponding budget would be available after the Corona break.
Lackner thanked Rector Martin Heilmeier and the board of directors, including the advisory board, for the "always open, good and relevant cooperation", which always had success and the funding goals in mind.
Thanks also go to the sponsors and the members, without whose financial commitment none of this supporting work would have been possible.
Mayor Bernhard Mücke was won over as election officer for the new elections.
After a long tenure, some board members were no longer available.
Lackner thanked the departing Hedwig Strobl, Kerstin Albers, Roswitha Frömmel-Reinhard and Norbert Simmet for their dedicated work.
The successor was not that easy, but a complete board of directors could be found again.
