The chairman of the Noam party, MK Avi Maoz, handed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu a letter of resignation in which he announces the termination of his position in the government as deputy minister, and his continued membership in the coalition as a full-fledged MK.
In his letter, Maoz stated that he is resigning after he saw that he was unable to implement measures he promised his voters, including "abolishing procedures that want to change the fundamental concepts of the Jewish family".
"I am announcing my resignation from my position as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office," Maoz said in a letter to Netanyahu, "I will continue, with God's help, as a partner in the coalition to support all the moves we agreed upon together, including the all-important legislation to restore the balance between the legislative and judicial authorities and more."
Maoz also added and said: "Throughout the generations the people of Israel have known to preserve what is dearest to them - our identity as a Jewish people, safeguarding the sanctities of Israel and adoring the supreme value of the family in Israel. With the formation of the government I was happy to be a part of it, as reflected in the coalition agreement." .
