Esteban Rojas Almada (45)

, the lender who is on the run for the femicide of his partner

 Ferni Ayala

, has

a red alert and is among the most wanted by Interpol

.

Seven days ago, a national and international arrest request for the crime of his girlfriend in the

Zavaleta de Barracas neighborhood

has weighed on the accused , a Paraguayan national.

Rojas' file, with his personal data and a photograph, appears with "red notice" (red alert), among the most wanted fugitives by Interpol, on its international website.

The notice indicates that the Paraguayan defendant is wanted by the Argentine justice and under the charge of "aggravated homicide by the bond, by its commission by a man, against a woman, mediating gender violence and through the use of a weapon of fire".

Esteban Rojas, the lender wanted for the femicide of his partner, next to the car that was found last week by the Police.

The inclusion of Rojas among Interpol's most wanted responds to a request from the judge in charge of the case, Mariano Iturralde, head of the National Criminal and Correctional Court 16.

Despite the fact that the case is in summary secrecy and that detectives from the Homicide Division of the City Police have been working since day one, judicial sources told the Télam agency that Judge Iturralde has now added to the search for the fugitive, Intelligence Department against Organized Crime of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA).

The main suspicion of the investigators is that Rojas, who has economic resources, could be

taking refuge somewhere in the interior

of the country, or even having managed

to escape to his native country, Paraguay

, through some clandestine passage or with false documentation, in the almost 24 hours he had to flee from the time the crime was committed until it was discovered.

Esteban Rojas is the main suspect in the crime of Ferni Ayala.

The femicide of Ferni Ayala (28) was committed at dawn on February 19, on the first floor of house 187 located on Lavardén street, block 18, in the 21-24 Zavaleta neighborhood, but it was discovered the next day, at dawn from last Monday.

Agents from the 4D Neighborhood Police Station were summoned to the place and verified that

Ayala was lying murdered

, after two of the victim's sisters who hours before had filed the complaint to find out whereabouts, broke down the door of the apartment with the help of a neighbor and They will find the body.

Upon entering the house, they found Ferni's body lying in a room, face up, dressed in bedding and with at least two bullet holes in the chest.

The experts found that Ayala had been dead for several hours.

After conducting a survey of testimonies, the police investigators and the investigating prosecutor Pablo Recchini identified the now fugitive Rojas, who was a partner of the victim and who was seen arguing with her at the exit of the "Radio" nightclub as a possible suspect in the crime. Studio" in the Constitución neighborhood, on Sunday morning.

Esteban Rojas could be taking refuge in a province or have escaped to Paraguay.

The victim's family told the press and investigators that a comment about an ex-partner of Ferni's, made that night by a friend of the victim and which angered Rojas, could have been the motive for the femicide.

Some neighbors have already declared that that morning

they saw the two arrive at their house

in the Zavaleta neighborhood, but

they saw

Rojas leave the building alone and leave in a car.

Although it was thought that the defendant, who is dedicated to lending money, could be fleeing in his car, a white Honda Civic that had a kidnapping order throughout the country, the vehicle appeared last Wednesday afternoon parked at the intersection of California and Santa Elena streets, in Barracas.

The car was found after a 911 call made by a neighbor, who recognized it from the photos that went viral on the networks.

The police officers who arrived at the scene met a few minutes later with a mechanic who approached them and told them that he had had that car in his workshop since February 14 and that he had taken it out onto the street because some spare parts had arrived.

Although there are no previous complaints by Ferni towards Rojas for gender violence, the victim's family told the press that the victim said that the man was "very jealous" and checked his cell phone.

In addition, an ex-partner of the defendant who lives in the same building where the homicide occurred, stated in the file that she suffered physical, psychological and economic violence from the defendant.
