I once went back from being happy to the 18th floor of hell

During the interview, Lu Chongmao disclosed the details of Zhixi’s heart replacement. Since she was only four months old, it was extremely difficult to find a suitable heart. At the end of December last year, there was good news that there was a suitable heart donation for Zhixi in the Mainland. A hospital in the northeastern province, "Of course we were very happy at the time, saying 'Oh,' we had to be ready. But the first thought was 'It's terrible', the traffic caused by the COVID-19 epidemic has been blocked." To come to Hong Kong from Guangdong Province, it takes three people to fly More than an hour, plus nearly two hours from that hospital to the airport, Lu Chongmao said, "It is basically impossible for us to calculate the time." Because the heart ischemia time is too long, it is difficult to ensure the quality of the heart. So it failed in the end.

Everyone went from being very hopeful to returning to the 18th floor of hell to despair.

But Huangtian pays off, maybe he heard the call of his parents, and there is another chance.

After more than a week, I found my heart in Shenzhen

Good news came when everyone was desperate. After more than a week, the China Human Organ Distribution and Common Computer System (COTRS) found a suitable organ in Shenzhen.

The medical teams from the two places, as well as Shenzhen and Hong Kong Customs conducted emergency simulation drills, and finally successfully delivered the heart to Hong Kong Children's Hospital in 2 hours and 49 minutes for surgery. "This is my determination to see my parents never leave, and God has responded. "

Zhixi made good progress after completing the operation and left the intensive care unit in the middle of last month. During her hospitalization, Lu Chongmao also visited the Children's Hospital to interview her.

Talking about Zhixi's recent situation, Lu Chongmao couldn't hide his smile, praised Zhixi's cuteness, her complexion is very good, and wished Zhixi a healthy growth.

In an exclusive interview with "Hong Kong 01", Lu Chongmao described that Zhixi's successful heart replacement is a miracle, thanks to the cooperation of the National Health Commission and the COTRS system to make it happen.

He described this event as a miracle. He was very moved when he saw her and her parents. The whole process was not easy. The chance of a four-month-old child being matched for a heart transplant in Hong Kong is "close to zero." Thanks to the collaboration between the National Health Commission and the COTRS system, this can be done. "You can imagine that if there is no donation from the Mainland, I believe I would not be able to find her, and she may not be alive."
