A serious accident occurred this evening (Friday) on Route 60 near Shiloh between a vehicle with Israeli passengers and a Palestinian vehicle.
7 wounded people with varying degrees of injury were evacuated from the scene, including Israelis aged 13 and 40 who were evacuated to the hospital in serious condition. The Red Crescent is treating 5 wounded Palestinians, including 2 unconscious ones. The road was blocked to traffic in both directions.
MDA paramedics Tomer Payne and Gali Sofer said:
"This is a very serious car accident between an Israeli vehicle with two passengers and two Palestinian vehicles.
With the help of the fire brigade, we rescued the injured who were trapped in the vehicles.
A 13-year-old boy who was seriously injured was taken to Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem in an MDA intensive care unit while breathing and a 40-year-old man was transferred to a military helicopter that landed nearby and was also taken to the hospital in a serious condition. 5 wounded Palestinians, including 2 who were unconscious, were treated by MDA and Red Crescent teams at the scene of the accident and were evacuated to hospitals in the authority's territories."
