Millions of women in Mexico are called to take to the streets and join the marches for International Women's Day 2023, which, as every year, seek to demand justice, equality, the cessation of sexist violence and make visible the fight feminist, among others.

These are some concentrations and marches called in Mexico for 8M.

Mexico City

This 2023 March 8 is Wednesday, so mobilizations are being organized for this day in Mexico City but also for Saturday March 11, this last date is for women who cannot attend the 8M march because they are one business day.

Some separatist feminist groups will gather on Wednesday, March 8 starting at 12:30 p.m. (local time) at the Monument to the Revolution, located in the center of the country's capital.

Another call, accompanied by Amnesty International, meets at 3:30 p.m. (local time) in the afternoon at the Glorieta de las Mujeres que Chann, located on Av. Paseo de la Reforma.

For its part, the Malvestida collective will meet at 3:00 p.m. (local time) at the Glorieta de las Mujeres que Chancan, on the corner of Av. Paseo de la Reforma and Calle Versalles to continue the march that usually ends in the Zocalo.

For the march on Saturday, March 11, the Feminist Organizing Committee, which brings together feminist organizations and groups from the country's capital, explained in a statement that the reason for going through the date of the march is to facilitate the participation of feminist groups and women from other states of the country.

He also recalled that "radical and separatist groups" will carry out the march on Wednesday, March 8 as every year, to which they will join "respecting its vanguard and methodology of action." 

The march will start from the Monument to the Revolution, will go through Paseo de la Reforma, will pass by the Senate of the Republic and will end at the Antimonumenta on Avenida Juárez.

Mexico state

In the State of Mexico, the Mujeres Organizadas de México association calls on all women to join the march in Toluca, which will start at Simón Bolívar Park at 12:30 p.m. (local time).

The Equalita Mx collective is also calling for the march a couple of hours before from the same park.

Guadalajara

Several feminist groups from Guadalajara called on all women in the state to participate in the 8M march.

#YoVoy8deMarzo, a feminist network in the city, meets at 3:00 p.m. in the Antimonumenta, located in Plaza Imelda Virgen "to then take to the streets at 5:00 p.m.."

The tour will go from this meeting point to the Glorieta de los Desaparecidos.

Monterey

The NL Feminist Assembly and various groups call for the march for 8M in the city of Monterrey at 6:00 p.m. (local time) from the Explanada de los Héroes, in the center of the city.

veracruz

The Veracruz feminist collective "Brujas del Mar" calls for the march on Wednesday, March 8 in the city of Boca del Río starting at 6:30 pm (local time).

The meeting point will be in the Plaza Dorada and it will go along Blvd. Manuel Ávila Camacho until it reaches the Plaza de los Valores where it will end.

In addition, on their Twitter account they announced that for this year's march they will set up a collection center in Plaza Dorada for those who want to donate clothes, personal hygiene and cleaning products in support of the girls from the "San Rafael Guizar y Valencia".
